Our Mission

The Rudra Institue of Martial Arts ( Rudra Kalari ) is an outstanding name among South Indian Kalarippayattu training Institutes. "Rudra Kalari" established in the earlier nineties under the eminent leadership of Prem Nath Gurukkal, the Grandson of Late Sri Narayanan Vaidyar. He hails from a traditionally reputed family of Ayurveda & Siddha Physicians. Rudra Kalari expanded its wing to various Countries.

In Kalaripayattu, there are several systems which include mainly the Southern and the Northern. All the system have different merits. So it is necessary to evolve a new system which contains the useful things of all the ancient systems. Otherwise the performers of Kalari would have to low their heads in disgrace in front of the foreigners who come to Kerala in search of the basics of martial arts. Even now the shadow of such a difficult situation is visible. So our aim is to foster Kalaripayattu by bringing together the useful things of all these systems with the help of knowledgeable and honest Kalari Gurus.
